Jambo na karibu! ("Hello and welcome!" in Swahili.) My name is Gathinja Yamokoski and I am the Founder and Owner of True African Art .com, an online based art gallery selling original, one of a kind, hand painted African artwork. Many of our African paintings for sale are from Kenya, but I also carry a collection from Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal the Congo and South Africa, totaling 58 African artists, both established and emerging.

I have lived in the suburbs of New York City since 2002, though I am originally from Kenya, East Africa. I travel back to visit Africa every year. I own most of True African Art's artworks and started distributing African paintings worldwide from my home in 2004. Consequentially, I opened True African Art .com in 2009.

I purchased most of our Black African artworks directly from the African artists themselves inside the continent of Africa. You can see pictures and videos within the "Artist Info" section of the website. My African staff and I are there with many of our painters. Kenyan staff Michael & Edwin mail to me African artists paintings when I am in the USA  and assist me when I am in Africa.
