Sarah Shiundu is an active African painting artist and makes her contemporary Maasai figures with a combination of banana leaves, feathers, and authentic Maasai shukas. These art materials give her African paintings a unique texture and a 3-D stand out type of feature.Sarah Shiundu is proud to be an African woman artist and says that she "realized that men were dominating the art world here in Africa. And I said to myself, 'I am going to stand on the platform with them!' I have found equality through it and much motivation from the feedback of visitors to True African Art.com. When people appreciate your African artwork, it really is a big motivation. I am inspired!"
